The flying saucer has a top and bottom part so the treats go in the top, then have to be knocked down to the bottom layer before they come out a hole at the bottom. It has an adjustable plate to allow adjustment to make it easier of more difficult for the food to fall from the top to the bottom. The whole dish screws apart to allow for adjustment and for filling. Personally I foung that taking a little time to pop the treats into the hole where the top bone fits was easier..... It does seem t be quite robust, but not for chewing!! And takes a wee while to master. Here's a wee video of a retriever trying to figure it out..... The size is  14cm by 11cm, and dishwasher safe.
